SalmaTheChef was born from a passion for preserving authentic Kolkata flavors. What started as a small family recipe passed down through generations has now become a beloved brand bringing authentic Indian spices to homes across India.
Our founder, Salma, grew up in Paschim Midnapur, where agriculture and farming are the primary livelihoods of the local people. She mastered the art of spice blending through years of dedication, hard work, and a natural instinct for identifying aroma and taste. Salma firmly believed that the soul of every dish lies in the quality, harmony, and balance of its spices.
Salma made her dream come true when she founded Salma The Chef LLP after years of struggle, dedication, and hard work. "Their biriyani reminded me of the times when biriyani was a delicacy and not just a commercial dish served to thousands.
The flavour of the rice, meat and the potato was outstanding.
Had the chicken special kababs and they were melt in the mouth flavor bombs.
And to top it off, the firni. No one makes authentic firni with rice, most use rice powder. Don't have words to describe the experience. Will be a regular customer."
